- In anything but a fully protected memory and resource tracking system,
- bad software can cause crashes. I consider it only prudent to reboot after
- running something suspect. That reboot is when I am in control, which is
- far better than a random crash when I'm doing something important.
-
- You're probably right that I don't use this Amiga very much by some
- standards. It is on 24 hours/day acting as a UUCP node for mail and
- news. It has calls in and calls out on a regular basis. I use it for
- developing and testing AmigaMUD, which involves some extended periods
- of edit/compile/run/etc. I don't run any commercial applications,
- however, since I don't need them for the work I do. (Actually, I have
- very few anyway - SAS C, dPaint-III, and a few old, never-used tools.)

- Stop using PD commodities, libraries, and other system-modification
- tools. I bet your system will magically become more stable!
